Paper and Document Shredding Helps Reduce Identity Theft
Shred Pro Services Joined Forces with College Station Police Department in Saturday Event
Houston, Texas (Marketwire) April 14, 2009—Residents of Bryan/College Station had an opportunity to shred personal documents on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 10:00am - 2:00 pm. Shred Pro Services, a Houston-based paper and document shredding company, joined forces with the College Station Police Department in a Shredding Party in the parking lot of the Sam’s Club in College Station.
Shred Pro Services was launched in November, 2008 with a fleet of customized, state-of-the-art mobile shredding trucks serving the greater Houston area. Manned by bonded and licensed professionals, the equipment has the capability of shredding up to 5,000 pounds of material per hour.
Darleena Lanier, vice president of Shred Pro Services, welcomed the opportunity to participate in the Shredding Party in College Station.
“We have been interested in expanding into the Bryan/College Station area and are pleased to work with the College Station Police Department in this timely community event,” said Lanier. “Identify theft is a frightening trend in our country.”
Individuals who wished to destroy important documents safely did so between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm in Saturday’s Shredding Party at Sam’s Club, 1405 Earl Rudder Freeway, College Station. Any type of confidential document, papers and records were shredded with no need to remove paper clips, staples or binders. The Shred Pro equipment destroys those items as well.
While the College Station event was geared toward individuals only, Shred Pro Services offers several sizes of paper shredding secure bin containers, suitable for any office, warehouse or mail room. Documents are always destroyed completely by the Shred Pro fully automated system. This gives business owners complete peace of mind as it ensures that there is no human contact with confidential materials at any time during the shredding process.
