College Station Police Department holds SHRED DAY on Saturday, May 15, 2010
Shred Pro Services was proud to participate in the Annual Shred Day held in the Sam's Wholesale Club parking lot in College Station. The event, sponsored by the College Station Police Department was deemed a success in spite of the pouring rain early in the morning. Sergeant Janice Kemp of the College Station Police Dept commented on the reason behind the Shred Day is to help inform the public the seriousness of "If somebody gets a hold of any of your paperwork or any of your information, your drivers license number, your name, social security number, your bank statements, bank checks, things like that, then they can go about getting your identity or compromising your accounts in some kind of way." More than 100 people participated in the event and over 7400 lbs of documents were shred in spite of the rain.
Katy Senior Center Shred Day, Friday May 14, 2010 - 9am to 12pm
Shred Pro Services participated in a Senior Shred Day Event benefiting the Katy Senior Center. The event was held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Katy Senior Center located at 910 Avenue C, Katy, TX 77492, from 9 am until 1 pm.
The Public was invited to bring old documents, including bank statements, medical records, tax returns, old checks (including all those "checks" you receive in the mail from solicitors). Shred Pro Services set up in the parking lot of the Senior Center and shred all documents on-site. Donations for the Katy Senior Center were welcome!
Shred Pro Services participated in a Fund Raising Event for the First Christian Church in Conroe -
The Church, located at 3500 N. Loop 336 West, Conroe, TX 77304 held the event to raise funds for the Children Ministries which provides Camps and Vacation Bible School to area children. The Public is invited to bring old documents, including bank statements, medical records, tax returns, checks (including those "checks" you receive in the mail from solicitors). Shred Pro Services will set up in the Church parking lot from 8:00 am thru 12:00 noon and shred all documents on-site. The Public is invited to come on out, bring those old papers and documents taking up space in your home and have those documents shredded while supporting a worthy cause for the First Christian Church! A Shred Day was held in the Windrose Subdivision on Saturday, April 17, 2010.
John Axt, a local Realtor with Prudential Gary Greene, along with Studebaker Orthodontics and the Windrose Golf Club sponsored the event. Over 60 home owners in the subdivision took advantage of the cool morning to bring their old tax returns, bills and even credit cards to be shred and recycled.
A Shred Day was held on Saturday, February 27,2010 from 9 am until noon at College Park High School located at 3701 College Park Dr, Conroe TX to benefit the Senior Services Department at Interfaith of the Woodlands. Sponsors for this event include Shred Pro Services, Homewatch Caregivers, Senior Resource Guide and Shirley Weber; Realtor, Senior's Real Estate Specialist- Keller Williams.The event was held to heighten awareness with seniors about identity theft. The document shredding was free for the Senior Community. 100% of all funds collected went directly to the Senior Services Department at Interfaith of the Woodlands. Shred Pro Services, a Mobile On-Site document shredding company, donated the use of a Shred Pro Truck at the event to shred documents for the general public.
